Visual distraction and experience-based suppression in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: A registered report

StudiuADHDÎncredere înaltă

This registered report investigates why people with ADHD are described as 'easily distracted' by examining how they respond to novel versus familiar visual distractors. The study found that individuals with ADHD show greater initial distraction to novel salient stimuli but learn to suppress these distractors just as efficiently as controls after repeated exposures, explaining mixed findings in prior research.
