Executive Functions as Mediators of Theory of Mind Performance in Children with ADHD

This study examined how executive functions (working memory, attention) mediate theory of mind abilities in 63 children with ADHD versus 63 matched peers. Results showed working memory and selective attention partially explained ToM deficits in ADHD, accounting for 16-38% of variance, but other factors also contribute to these cognitive differences.
