Effect of methylphenidate on physical growth in children and adolescents with ADHD: systematic review and meta-analysis

This systematic review and meta-analysis of 33 clinical studies examined whether methylphenidate monotherapy affects height, weight, and BMI in children and adolescents with ADHD. Results showed statistically significant but clinically modest reductions in height and weight Z-scores, with findings assessed as moderate-to-high quality evidence using standardized appraisal tools.
