A Japanese nationwide survey of 29,268 adults found that possible ADHD was associated with lower happiness levels, with somatic symptoms, concentration difficulties, and depression acting as key mediators. The study identified that over one-quarter of individuals with possible ADHD reported low happiness, suggesting multiple pathways through which ADHD affects wellbeing.
