Cortical morphometric inverse divergence in ADHD correlates with cell-type-specific and developmental transcriptomic signatures
This neuroimaging study of 176 ADHD patients and matched controls used morphometric analysis to identify structural brain differences, particularly increased morphological homogeneity in the combined ADHD subtype. Gene expression analysis revealed that these structural alterations correlate with specific transcriptomic signatures involved in mitochondrial metabolism and show distinct patterns across cortical layers and developmental stages.
