Co-producing adult ADHD care in South Africa: A patient-centred framework for agency, trust, satisfaction and continuity

This qualitative study with 13 adults diagnosed with ADHD explored perceptions of involvement in psychiatric care to develop co-production practices. Four key themes emerged: patient agency through shared decision-making, provider trust and empathy, satisfaction from personalized care, and importance of continuity—providing a framework for improving ADHD treatment outcomes.
