Blood-Based Biomarker Precision Medicine for Alzheimer's Disease in Down Syndrome

This study used plasma and extracellular vesicle proteomics to develop machine learning models predicting cognitive status and treatment response in adults with Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease from a vitamin E trial. The biomarker-based approach showed high accuracy in classification, suggesting potential for non-invasive blood screening and personalized therapeutic strategies in this genetically predisposed population.
