Molecular and Cellular Processes Disrupted in Early Postnatal Down Syndrome Prefrontal Cortex

StudiuSindrom DownÎncredere înaltă

This study uses advanced single-nucleus multiomic sequencing to map gene expression and chromatin accessibility changes in Down syndrome brains during early postnatal development, a critical period for brain maturation. Findings reveal widespread disruptions in metabolic and synaptic pathways, oligodendrocyte development, and neuroinflammatory responses, providing a molecular understanding of Down syndrome-related developmental delays and potential therapeutic targets.
