Electroencephalographic Normalization as a Biomarker of Clinical Recovery in Down Syndrome Regression Disorder

StudiuSindrom DownÎncredere înaltă

This longitudinal cohort study tracked EEG findings in individuals with Down syndrome regression disorder over 12 months, finding that abnormal baseline EEG normalized in approximately half of participants by 6 months and 56.5% by 12 months. EEG normalization was associated with clinical improvement, suggesting EEG may serve as a dynamic biomarker of disease activity and treatment response in this rare condition.
