This study used network analysis to examine how alexithymia (difficulty identifying/describing emotions), interoception, empathy, and self-awareness interrelate with depression and anxiety symptoms in 208 clinically diagnosed autistic young people aged 15-25. Results identified alexithymia and interoceptive awareness as key nodes influencing broader autistic features and mental health symptoms.
