Sexual dysfunction and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder: A systematic review of bidirectional associations

StudiuADHDÎncredere bună

This systematic review examines the bidirectional relationship between sexual dysfunction and ADHD in adults, analyzing 13 observational studies showing high prevalence of sexual dysfunction in ADHD populations (up to 67.7% for female orgasmic dysfunction) and elevated ADHD rates in those with sexual dysfunction (up to 42% in men with premature ejaculation). The authors conclude current evidence supports a probable bidirectional association and recommend routine reciprocal screening, though heterogeneity in measurement tools prevents meta-analysis.
