Service Learning in Dental Education: Improving Student Competence in Oral Health Care for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This study evaluated a structured service learning programme for 102 fourth-year dental students designed to enhance their knowledge, self-efficacy, and professional attitudes toward providing oral health care to children with autism spectrum disorder. The programme included theoretical training, field investigation, and health education delivery, with pre- and post-programme assessments using validated measurement tools.
