Effects of Halliwick-based aquatic exercise on social and motor skills in children with autism: a pilot study

This pilot study examined a 12-week Halliwick-based aquatic exercise intervention in 12 children with ASD, measuring motor skills, social behavior, and sensory integration using validated assessment scales. Results showed improvements in autism-related behaviors, balance performance, and aquatic readiness in the intervention group compared to controls, with benefits persisting 4 weeks after the program ended.
