Processing Speed Deficit and Its Relationship with Math Fluency in Children with ADHD

StudiuADHDÎncredere bună

This study compared processing speed across motor, perceptual, cognitive, and verbal domains in 52 children with ADHD versus 26 controls, finding significant deficits across all domains in the ADHD group. Mediation analysis revealed that cognitive processing speed directly and indirectly (through working memory) predicted math fluency difficulties, suggesting processing speed deficits may underlie math achievement problems in ADHD.
