Validation of the Brief Observation of Social Communication Change (BOSCC) for Measuring Social Interaction Changes in Preschoolers with Autism
This study evaluated the reliability, validity, and responsiveness of the BOSCC, a tool designed to measure changes in social interactions in young children with autism, using 414 video observations from a multicenter randomized controlled trial. Results showed the BOSCC has high reliability and acceptable responsiveness to treatment-related changes when validated against clinical improvement ratings.
