Prenatal and Childhood Exposure to Chlorpyrifos and Pyrethroid Insecticides and ADHD Symptoms in Preschool Children

This cohort study examined associations between insecticide exposure (measured via urine metabolites in pregnant women and 5-year-old children) and ADHD symptoms assessed using validated behavioral screening. Most pregnant women and children had detectable levels of pyrethroid and chlorpyrifos metabolites, with statistical analysis exploring dose-response relationships by child sex.
