Voluntary Imitation of Dynamic Facial Expressions in Children with ADHD: A Facial-Behavior Analysis Study

This study compared voluntary facial mimicry of emotional expressions between 41 children with ADHD and 53 typically developing children using video recording and computer vision analysis. Children with ADHD demonstrated significantly higher imitation intensity for sadness, surprise, and fear expressions, though emotion recognition accuracy was equivalent between groups.
