Neuropsychological Factors and Loneliness Preference in Children with ADHD and Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome

StudiuADHDÎncredere bună

This study examined how emotion dysregulation and internalizing disorders mediate the relationship between attention difficulties and preference for solitude in 176 children (ages 8-12) with ADHD and Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome. Findings suggest that selective and sustained attention deficits predict loneliness preference primarily through difficulties in emotion regulation and co-occurring internalizing problems.
