Central Hopelessness Symptoms and Their Link to Resilience in Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Network Analysis Study in China

This study examined hopelessness symptoms and resilience in 448 parents of children with autism using validated psychological scales and network analysis, finding that specific hopelessness symptoms like pessimism about the future operate as central nodes differently for mothers versus fathers. Results suggest that expectancy of success is directly associated with resilience across all parent groups, with potential implications for targeted mental health interventions.
