Parental Concerns About Social-Emotional Reciprocity and ASD Diagnosis in Children

StudiuAutismÎncredere bună

This study examined how parental concerns align with autism spectrum disorder diagnoses in 80 children by analyzing free-text descriptions from diagnostic interviews. Parents of children diagnosed with ASD were four times more likely to report deficits in social-emotional reciprocity compared to parents of non-diagnosed peers, highlighting this as a significant diagnostic predictor.
