Costs of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Service Access in Spain

This cost-of-illness study surveyed 334 individuals with autism in Spain to estimate annual healthcare, education, social care, and productivity costs from a societal perspective. Average direct annual costs were €10,974 per individual, with service access varying by comorbidity (anxiety, intellectual disability) and autism severity.
